The benefit of a private event is that you decide the date, time, pace of walk and content. A standard 2 hour walk at Kloofendal is about 3km, and focuses upon spiders and scorpions in their natural habitat. There are however, additional facets that can be added to the walk. these include:
- Adding more exercise to the walk.
- General conservation discussion.
- Spider bite first aid.
- Scorpion Sting first aid.
- Snake bite first aid.
- Medical treatment of bites and stings (including Antivenom)
- Biomimicry and biomimicry mini-workshop.
- General question and answer session on venomous animals.
The Kloofendal mine structure provides the perfect place for short discussions and informal lectures. If your group requires a 3 hour walk, then I would suggest we use the mine structure as a place for some informal training or discussions.
Minimum number of participants is 12.
Maximum number of participants is 20.
You choose the start and end time of the walk.
Special requests can be included as part of the walk.
Online bookings and payments can be set up to manage your group booking.
The walk is conducted at your pace.
People with special needs are welcome.
10% Of the cost of the walk is donated to conservation and community efforts at Kloofendal Nature Reserve.
